Who do you think should play Glade 2009?

This is the new home of the (in)famous GladeTalk forum. Glade Festival is Britain's biggest and best non-corporate electronic dance music festival, with a proper havin' it vibe. Chinstrokers need not apply. Have you given feedback for the organisers yet?

oh i think id cry if i heard that live!

It's such an amazing tune, one that gets you rushing, drugs or no drugs :D

Seen him at Manchester Apollo 2000. That tune took me back to 91. If that's Glasto 2000 then i am wasted at the back feeling the love

Glasto 2003. And yes, lots of people had tears in their eyes to that one.

By the way, the Moby 18 DVD has a bonus disc featuring his entire Glastonbury 2003 closing set. http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/141229/M ... oduct.html Only £9.99 delivered too.

Now that really will bring tears to your eyes, from the beautiful establishing shots of all the fires and candles right through to that blinding version of Feeling So Real.

might have to invest in that dvd once i get a job...people hate on moby but they dont listen to his older stuff and realise where a lot of the popular samples come from ;)

you should check out luna-c's dominated by moby which samples various moby tracks and dominator. i think its a lovely tune, and even i was shocked to hear some of those tracks were mobys - he uses both old and new.

Fat tune and yea I was surprised how many of the moby tunes were moby. Luckily I managed to get the vinyl cos it was only pressed in a run of about 100 or so. If anyone wants to hear it it's in the superb Luna-C FM (supaset 4) which can be downloaded from http://kniteforcerevolution.com/ Tis all about the Luna-C :D

I saw Moby supporting Soundgarden in 96 on their last tour, he was playing rock tracks from his Animal Rights album. Amazing stuff, we were all confused and expecting a rave warmup act. Just glad I kept the flyer so I could remember he had an album coming out!

I reckon he'd be ace for Glade main stage, but I'm certain I'd miss him owing to a clash with someone not shit.

Is that the one that held the Guinness record for fastest (bpm) tune ever @ 1000bpm? Johnny Violent's blown that out of the water with 20,000,000bpm "Burnout", but I don't suppose that counts. :D

Seconded. DnB that doesn't sound like every other twat out there. Although they'll have to put a clause in the contract saying he can't play that fucking myspace tune.

 yes! i was thinking that the other day- i'd have a much better chance of remembering who i'd seen (half a day in and i've abandoned the timetable idea due to excessive complicatedness and vanished sense of time). it's the same with names when i meet people... if i've seen it written i'm far more likely to remember it.

Amon Tobin, yeah. I saw him at Bloc this year, he was excellent. I pooed my pants it was so good.

Plaid. They always seem to end up at some shithouse like Sunrise or Cockstock or whatever the other hippiefests are called. Plaid - play Glade. I love Plaid. FUCKING PLAID. GLADE=PLAID+PAID

If Plaid played Glade you'd be gayed. Plaid are made for Glade.

Great except for two things

1. Plaid rhymes with glad, not Glade.

2. Plaid played Glade(e) in 2004 and 2005 IIRC

Otherwise a storming suggestion! I'd quite like to see Matmos or Add N to X or some other quirky electronica there next year. There was a definite dearth of it this year.
